Derelict State Records is an independent record label that produces diverse and alternative music in a variety of eclectic styles.
The label prides itself on pushing acts that are progressive and not polarized by any commercial trends or genres.
It was set up in 2009 acting as a creative catalyst for new, original artists to proliferate their music to a wider audience.
Since this arrival Derelict State has elevated its presence with the recent climb of Bristol act Allflaws and is currently developing various new artists from the UK and Europe.
We also work within the film and production industry providing music for soundtracks and documentaries.

Bristol Born Owl AKA Byron Jah is a revolutionary poet with a subversive and conscious style. Owl's words brazenly dismantle the current social, economic, environmental and political issues in an intelligent and cogent manner. Deep flows, rabble rousing intensity and worldly rhetoric are just to name a few of this artists many attributes. London based Oxy-Qua is a producer and engineer of instrumental beats and sound-scapes. It could be described as an experimental and diverse fusion of electronica, hip hop, trip hop and progressive dance sounds. Futuristic synths, organic samples, ferrety sounds, sonic textures, metallic layers and imaginative beats - create an overall sonic atmosphere that is interesting and contemporary.
